“JELLY” TYPEFACE DESIGN
BRIEF: Design a typeface including all letters, number, and various characters.
Create a type specimen poster as well as an event poster utilizing the typeface.
PRELIMINARY STAGES:
I knew I wanted to create a funky and bold display typeface, something exciting to use for titles and logos.
I began by loosely sketching letterforms that were blobby in shape. Then I honed in on the style and refined the lettering, aligning the angles and sizing of the characters.

I then translated the sketches into digital letterforms in illustrator, and refined the shapes. I tested the letters in words together to make sure the letters felt cohesive when put together.
